Alex Kim, DPM
Dae Sik “Alex” Kim DPM, is a board-certified fellowship trained podiatric foot and ankle surgeon. Dr. Kim’s specialized clinical interests include sports medicine, arthroscopy, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Kim completed his foot and ankle surgical residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. During his residency he also completed a Podiatric Dermatopathology Fellowship Program at BAKO Diagnostics lab in Alpharetta, GA. He then achieved an orthopedic and sports medicine fellowship with the Steward Medical Group (formerly known as Salt Lake Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Reconstruction Fellowship) in Salt Lake City, Utah. During his surgical training, he also completed a lower extremity arthroscopy course with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) as well as both basic and advanced surgical courses with the American Academy of Foot and Ankle Osteosynthesis (AAFAO).
Dr. Kim has worked closely with other vascular, orthopedic, and plastic surgeons during his residency and fellowship training. Since 2015, Dr. Kim has been annually invited by University Hospitals in Seoul, South Korea as a visiting scholar to collaborate with surgical specialists in lower extremity reconstructive surgical cases. He has also attended numerous orthopedic conferences in Seoul, South Korea as an invited guest.
Prior to moving to Texas, Dr. Kim worked with a large multi-specialty medical group and a private practice in New Jersey.
When Dr. Kim is not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife, who is a family medicine physician, and staying active with crossfit and running. They also enjoy road trips and visiting family members across the country.
Dr. Kim's personal philosophy on patient care revolves around simplifying the complexities of podiatric medicine into a more individualized, relatable, and understandable experience for every patient.
